1st New Cabinet

The first cabinet purchased by the Partnership has been attached to the wall at the Coastguard Station , North Beach Car Park tonight.

We hope the power connection  and commissioning will take place in the next week , which will finally see the defibrillator transferred to this new heated cabinet.

In the meantime the device remains by the front door of the station.

Keeping the devices warm is vital as in hard frosts they will shut down and takes them out of service.

This cabinet is dedicated to Michael 'Spike' Williamson , a Coastguard of 30 years.

New Cabinets start to arrive

Two new cabinets have arrived and will shortly be installed.

The 1st will be a replacement at the Coastguard Station in North Beach Car Park , this replaces a non heated cabinet which is showing its age in our environment.

The 2nd , along with a new defibrillator will be installed on the railway station building next to the taxi office.  This cabinet will be available for central Swanage and was kindly provided by a local business.

These cabinets are heated and will protect the defibrillators from the elements.

More details will follow as the cabinets are installed.
