Costcutter Device Goes Live

We had confirmation this morning that the registration process for the cabinet and device at Cost Cutters in the High street had been completed.

South Western Ambulance now have this device registered for use.

If you think someone is suffering a cardiac arrest , call 999 and ask for Ambulance.

The Ambulance Operator will give you advice and may ask if there is anyone available to go to one of your nearest cabinets to get the defibrillator.

The Ambulance Service will give you the code to open the cabinet.

Defib Partnership endorsed for its work in the Community.

We would like to share some wonderful news with you this week.

Two coordinators from the partnership were invited to attended The South Western Ambulance Service Fountain Trust( SWASFT) awards evening at Dillington Hall Illminster, where the partnership was awarded     "Defibrillator Accreditation Award"    by the Chief Executive Ken Wenman.

The partnership was put forward for the award by the SWASFT  Dorset Responder Team  in recognition of the defibrillator project.

The award at the annual ceremony is a wonderful achievement  for the partnership which in eighteen months has provided seven devices , with another six in the pipe line.

The devices have already gone to six incidents in Swanage in support of medical emergencies.

Having the project endorsed and acknowledged by South Western Ambulance reflects the hard work and contributions the partnership along with the community has brought to the Swanage area.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us to achieve our goals so far.
